Walkers Salt & Vinegar Crisps
Really.......?
Seriously..........?
Ummm.........crisps?
Why not?
I have written about my favourite film, my favourite TV show and my favourite video game, so why shouldn’t I write a review of my favourite crisp flavour?
I am as passionate about crisps as I am about most other things, I was brought up in the hospitality industry (pubs, hotels etc...) and crisps have always been, a) easily accessible and b) a staple part of my diet (those that know me will testify I have probably eaten lots of crisps)
When I thought to myself “what should I write about” I was actually eating a pack of WS&V (you should be used to aconyming (that might not be a word but I like it so it stays!) by now) so thought, why not, I can talk bollocks about anything, so here goes...
I love these crisps for several reasons, but first and foremost is the flavour, When I say flavour I mean the intensity of the flavour and not Salt and Vinegar in general, it is always very sharp almost to the point of bringing a tear to my eye but also has enough flavour to last the whole pack (even a grab bag size pack!) I remember when I was about 5 or 6 and WS&V used to almost hurt they were so flavoursome, I guess that’s why I still love them today!
Another thing is that it just has to be Walkers, because they say things like...
“Fuck conformity.... If we want our Salt & Vinegar packs to be green then dammit, they will be green!”
It is funny that I have settled on WS&V as my favourite flavour as I have flirted with so many others in my time, Roast Beef Monster Munch, Worcester Sauce French fries and T-Bone Roysters to name a few, but when I really think about it you can make all the exotic shapes and flavours that you want, but I always seem to come back to old faithful!
Now some of you have read this far and thought, he is talking shit, I’m not reading anymore! Well if that is how you feel that’s fine, but if you are stopping because you disagree with my choice then I will ask you to imagine this...
Katy Perry lying naked on a bed beckoning you to join her!
Now there are some of you that will think, yes please that would be awesome, and some of you (males that are gay and females that are not) that will not find this to your taste, well the same goes for crisps.
I will conclude with this, If you feel strongly about something then tell people and if they want to hear (or in this case, read) about it then they will, I cannot praise Walkers enough for how consistent their Salt & Vinegar crisps are, in fact how consistent all the flavours are.
I’m going to have a pack now!
